This is Kevin Stasney, MD. I’m coming to you from Years Younger MD where we’re going to have a little talk about uncommon sense and the things you can do to protect you and your family during this illness that’s going around right now: how to boost your viral immunity and also some of the methods you can use that are over-the-counter and also prescription. It would have been nice to have this talk in October, because this is something we should start all year round and along with flu season when it comes. There are flu-like illnesses and there’s also influenza and then of course now we have the coronavirus or COVID-19.
So, washing is one of the biggest components whether you’re washing your clothes or washing your hands. I’m a guy and I know that you guys aren’t washing coming out of the bathroom because I’m there. So much of that we see. You have to do it. Take your shoes off when you come home if you’re exposed to large number of people. Park your shoes in the garage or in a closet. Come home and take a shower before you handle all the food and the kids, and everything else. This is not washing. What you want to do is take your hands, bring them together, go between your fingers, along the edges, across the thumbs, and across the back of your wrist and that’s going to wash your hands. Soap and water is the best. You can carry hand sanitizer with. P-3 carries some and you can get some of the others, but soap and water really appears to be the best for prevention. Washing your vegetables, not touching your face, and not touching others at this point is something to be careful of.
The other thing we want to talk about is immunity. So immunity comes in a lot of different stages: immunity you can take orally, you can take topically, and you can boost that through other products. You can use elderberry. You can use vitamin C. We offer IV vitamin C. Anytime you get over 1 to 2 grams orally, sometimes it does cause loose stools. We’ll do 20,000 units IV vitamin C for a really big boost. If you want to use mushrooms that are heat extracted in capsules, that’s going to help boost your immunity as well. You want to get plenty of sleep. You want to give up your sodas. You want to give up your fast foods, and you also want to give up the chips and things that have a lot of preservatives. Those are going to decrease your immunity because they’re inflammatory and you want to stay away from inflammatory foods. One of the other products we offer is a silver biotic spray. You can spray that in your mouth, you can spray it in your nose, you put it on your hands and rub it all in. You get about a four-hour protection, and a lot of this is that you can’t be bacteria free. Bacteria are everywhere, and so trying to completely rid yourself of the bacteria, you can’t do that. If you have trouble with eating and you bloat a lot. A lot of this, you’re going to take viruses in through your stomach, and so if you have trouble with eating and you bloat after eating sometimes digestive enzymes, apple cider vinegar, those kind of things kill the viruses in your stomach before it gets into your intestine. So that’s another important thing for you to remember.
Another thing we use a lot of is TA 1. It’s a thymus and alpha. It’s a peptide that’s created. It is an injection, small needle, but we’ll use that to boost viral immunity, and so that’s really good. Some of the other things we’ve been provided with by p3, I won’t show you how to use this, but this is a nasal swab. You put your q-tip in, put it in the nose, flip it over, put the q-tip on the other side, squeeze your nose together and it’s another barrier that has immune modulators in it that protect. The other is a zinc trochee you can use a zinc trochee, and trochees are little squares that you put your mouth and dissolve, again zinc and some other products are in there to help with immune modulating, and it helps to kill viruses. All those little water bottles you carry around, those are highly acidic. Your body has to convert that and take care of that acid so consider changing from plastic water bottles as well.
And one of the last things is the prescription part. And again, these are prescription products. Vitamin D3 is something we use a lot of. I want you to take vitamin D3 every day. I use five to ten thousand depending on my level. If you start getting sick with the prescription grade, you’re going to take a hundred thousand units a day for seven days and then go back to your usual dose.
